2022 Gift Guide: For The Hostess

A gift to say thank you…

We can now officially say the holiday season is in full swing! Yay! Which means festive parties, events, and get-togethers are near. I received my first party invitation of the season yesterday which got me thinking… hostess gifts!

It’s always nice to bring just a little something when party hopping, and I like to keep a few things on hand that I can just grab and go when I’m rushing out the door inevitably 15-minutes behind. Because I never, and I mean never have the extra time to stop and pick up a bottle of wine on my way.

Each season I like to create a little basket with already pre-wrapped hostess gifts that are simple. Like a bottle of wine wrapped in my favorite fancy ribbon with a personalized gift tag or a few sets of cocktail napkins (like these and these!) all tied up. I make a batch of mini pumpkin spice loafs and keep them wrapped in the freezer and ornaments boxed and ready! All are super simple to plan ahead, plus it’s a way to know I can be thoughtful before things get too nuts. So yes, this post is inspiration for you, but it’s also for reality check for me… time to get it together, Ashley!

And, obviously, these are great hostess gifts, but they would also make fantastic teacher, neighbor, etc. gifts. All under $40, but most are under $20. Happy gifting!

A Few Favorites From The List

Cute stir sticks and a good jar of olives all tied up or even my favorite chia tea concentrate and a adorable mugs or THE BEST hot honey and cornbread mix! So fun to get creative with gifts like these!

I love the idea of bringing these recipes cards with a homemade loaf of bread or muffins. You could even write the recipe on the first card!

You can never go wrong with a little potted plant in my opinion! These terracotta pots are beautiful and you could pop in fresh basil or a mini rose bush, both I’ve found at my local grocery store.

Also, you could bake cookies (or anything!) and give them in this festive tin (under $3) for a simple, heartfelt way to say thank you.

You can never go wrong with a holiday candle, like this beautiful one or this simple one.

A holiday puzzle is always a fun give—and the gift that keeps on giving!

Tea towels are thoughtful, because we could all use an extra one or two in the kitchen! This tartan set are classic, and this one is super festive.

How great is this book about Christmas around the world? Such an unexpected, interesting gift!

This cozy throw (under $20!) is the perfect plaid.

P.S. Lots more ideas for sweet and thoughtful gifts here: holiday mugs to gift, under $50 gift guide, and gifts for the home chef. And all of our gifts guides so far here!
