Mountains & The Lake

We are spending this week at my family’s cabin in Blue Ridge, Georgia (you can see more of that here)! There are like 17 of us in one cabin, so it is both chaos and so much fun! We are having the best time floating on the lake, making nightly bonfires, watching endless rom-coms, drinking red wine on the porch swing, and of course hiking though the mountains. It’s one of those places where you can do absolutely nothing, or take on any adventure. It is the best place.

The only downside to going is the inevitable packing. As you know, it’s not my favorite thing, and when you are packing for both the mountains, the lake, and the city… it can get confusing!

So this time I decided to stick to a color theme. I brought all my blue, white, red, and yellows — primary colors. Perfect to mix and match the entire trip! Both my mountain and lake items all go together that way I am able to layer up if need be and make multiple outfits from one. Also, I decided to only bring 1 of each kind of shoe (this, my friends, is where I ALWAYS go wrong!) Only one pair of sandals, tennies, and wellies! That’s it. Well, of course, besides my running shoes!

Also, since there are a WHOLE lot of people in this cabin, it was imperative that I pack smart, because  let’s be real, we really don’t need one extra pair of shoes laying around.

My favorite item I packed, besides Lucy of course, are my wellies and yellow Vineyard Vines dress! So fun and Summery!

  1. Do you rent out yout cabin? I am looking for a cabin for one couple.

If not, do you have one you recommend ? Everything I see online is a little “old and used”.

    Thank you!
