Holiday Fiction

As I mentioned on Instagram last night, I’ve been flying through books recently! I just about always have one on my night stand and one going on my audible app at all times. I’m a sucker for a good story and honestly, I can’t get enough of books.  Currently I’m reading The Futures and The Stylist, but I’m almost done with one of them which means…I’m already on the lookout for my next book. I’m a two book kinda gal and I’m dead set on my next book being Holiday fiction!

Outfit Details:

Etcetera Top (similar on sale here) // Bobbi Brown Lipstick in “Vibrant Pink” //

J.Crew Denim // Pearl Earrings (similar on sale here)

I love to switch to seasonal fiction this time of year to get me into the holiday spirit.  The three books below are tried and true and I know you will absolutely love!

Top 3 Holiday Reads

Seven Days of Us

I read this book last December and I cannot say enough great things about it! If you haven’t read it, you need to! It’s meatier than your average chick-lit book, but oh-so-good. Tell me you’ll read it!

Read

Blue Christmas

I didn’t want this book to end. I read it one a few years ago and it was adorable! The story is based in Savanah around an antique shop owner… it’s such a cute story and perfect to pack in your carry-on!

Read

The City Baker’s Guide To Country Living

I read this book last February and I wish I would have read it during the holidays! Such a good storyline and I just felt cozy reading it. This one is the perfect holiday weekend read.

What’s On Your Holiday Reading List?

Now it’s your turn! Do you have any fun holiday reads I need to know about!? When I searched “holiday fiction” on Amazon today I got overwhelmed with all the snowy, twinkly-light covers. I’ve read a handful of really great holiday books, but this year I’m at a loss. If you have any recommendations definitely send them my way.

Also, I posted the photo above last night and got quite a few questions, so even though we are talking about books (priorities people!), I promised I’d link the look as well! 😉

  1. This is a great post–all the books sound interesting, and how nice to have something holiday-ish to read to get us in the spirit! A few years ago I read a collection of Christmas short stories by the late Maeve Binchey. I can’t remember the name of it but I’m sure you can find a list of her published books on Google.

Love your outfit and festive lipstick. I need to get bolder with colors!

    Happy Holidays,

    • Jane! Great recommendations, I’ll definitely check those out! And thank you for your sweet note, you definitely should start rocking the bolder lip colors… they make you feel so fancy! xx – AB

  2. Thank you for these recommendations!! I love Christmas books! This year I’m having surgery on December 21st, so these will definitely come in handy!

  3. Thanks for book recommendations……..favorites of mine are two by Cynthia Ruchti (love this writer)
An Endless Christmas and Restoring Christmas …. also a delightful children’s book but yet so much a “grown-up read” by Richard Peck…A Season of Gifts. Do not miss this precious story. Thanks Ashley
