Dressing The Part
Now that it’s October, all bets are off! Bring on the pumpkins, hot apple cider, pecan pies, sunflowers, and pretty Fall dresses… I’m 1000% ready! Even though the weather hasn’t quite made a change here in Florida the excitement around the pending humidity lift is palpable! It’s all anyone can talk about. One slight breeze and we all stop in our tracks and ask, “did you feel that?! Fall is coming!” It’s honestly a bit comical!
Transitional dressing can be tricky when the calendar says “FALL” but the weather is still screaming “Summer”. It’s hard to know what to do, but my solution is always a dress! Dresses are the perfect transitional piece. You can wear them with bare legs and as soon as the temperatures start to dip you can bring out the tights, the trench coats, and the scarves.
In my opinion, finding a few quality Fall dresses is SO worth the investment. You’ll be able to stretch them through winter, yet start enjoying them today. It’s never fun to buy something really pretty, only to have to file it away until the weather cooperates.
Some of my favorite Fall dresses of the season are from the Gal Meets Glam Collection. The dress I’m wearing in this post just is one of them. I have a few other GMG dresses (see here and here) and every time a new one comes in I am blown away by the quality of the fabric and fit. You know when you find a brand that just “fits” you? Even before you zip it up, you know… Well, GMG has been that for me lately! If you haven’t given them a twirl yet, you really should this Fall.
3 Styled Looks From the GMG Collection
Below are three more top picks from the latest collection. They are the perfect pieces for your transition from “warm Fall” to “chilly Fall”. I’ve styled each one here for three different occasions. Each of these dresses is under $200 and, actually, so are all of the accessories.
