I’m All About That Snack
We have a running joke in our house that if I don’t have at least four snacks in my handbag at all times then I will turn into a pumpkin. It’s kind of funny, but it’s so true. Ryan knows better now then to let me out of the house without a snack, and he’s always asking me if I have enough snacks to get through a meeting, church, etc. I think we can all agree that I inspired the word “hangry”. Ha!
Anyway, over the years I have perfected my snacking game, and I take it very seriously. I (for the most part) eat pretty healthy, which means I’m hungry 100% of the time. Clean eating doesn’t keep you full quite like a Twinky does. But hey, I feel better, so that’s all that really counts.
Below are a few of my proven go-to healthy snacks that I pinky promise will keep you full!
Cherries + Roasted Almonds
I love a good sweet and salty snack. This one is great when I am needing some protein (almonds) but still craving something sweet (cherries).
Homemade Popcorn + Peaches
I am not above eating popcorn before noon, so you can often find me snacking on this at 10:30 a.m. Also, if you haven’t ever made homemade popcorn, what are you waiting for?! It’s the best! All you need is a little sea salt, coconut oil, and a whirly pop!
Avocado Toast
Is there ever a bad time for avocado toast?! Seriously, there isn’t. Also, if you haven’t sprinkled red pepper flakes, sea salt, and lime juice on top of your avocado toast then you just aren’t living.
Hummus + Veggies
I pre-cut veggies when I get home from the store, so I always have some near by and ready to grab! Also, try topping your hummus with a little paprika and avocado oil.
Hard Boiled Eggs
These are my go-to when I am out or traveling. I know there is always a Starbucks near by where I can grab a few hard boiled eggs. I try to keep a few in the fridge during the week as well. They make the best grab and go snack!
Apples + Almond Butter
I have 1/2 an apple and almond butter just about every day at 3:30 with a cup of coffee. It’s my favorite go-to easy snack. Plus, it’s just plain yummy!
What are your favorite go-to snacks? I’m always looking for new healthy snacks to add to my rotation. Leave a comment and let me know!

One snack I really enjoy is an apple sliced thin, sprinkled with cinnamon and topped with just a touch of honey. So yummy!
> I do that, too! It’s like a little apple pie!
So good, right?!
Oh that sounds so good!!
Thanks for sharing, these are great ideas!!!! I usually have a string cheese with almonds ans fruit. Going to mix it up now with these great suggestions.
Yea, but who doesn’t love string cheese!?! YUM!
All of these are great! I love Manuka Honey with my almond butter! And, I just love that you have your almond butter/apple with coffee at 3:30, as do I! It’s the best:) I’ve also started loving a scoop of Vital Protein in my coffee with a splash of natural almond milk – wisk to get a foam! It’s the cat’s meow! 🙂
YUM!! That sounds amazing, thanks for sharing!
