My 6 Favorite Lipsticks

As you know, lipstick is my favorite beauty product. It’s magical, and it changes the way you feel and the way an outfit looks more than any pair of shoes ever could. I also like lipstick because you have to be bold to wear it! A bright red lipstick is not for the faint of heart, which makes it kind of fun and glamorous!
If you haven’t dabbled in the brighter shades of lipstick, I am challenging you to do so, especially for National Lipstick Day! There is nothing that will make you feel more feminine, pretty, and powerful than a bold lip. Next time you are in a drug store, pick up something bright and give it a whirl! I’m willing to bet you’ll love it.
My Six Favorite Shades:
It feels like I have just about tried every shade of lipstick under the sun, and these six have been in rotation for a while now. Not only am I picky about color, but I’m also fairly picky about consistency, staying power, and texture of the lipstick itself. But, these six have 100% made the cut!
In order from the bottom up:
Bareminerals –
“Luxe”
This is a great lightly pink matte cream lipstick. This is my go-to every day color. It goes with just about my entire closet!
Lancôme –
“Si Seulement”
If you are looking for a great darker color than this one is it. It’s not too pink, it’s not too brown. It’s fall perfection. I’ve been wearing it a bit this summer at night as well. This is such a fun and different color for me, but I LOVE it!
Bare Minerals –
“Biba”
This is my “Barbie Pink” lipstick. I wear this one often in my Instagram photos because I love the way it POPS! Plus, it’s hot pink and just plain fun.
Elizabeth Arden
– “Mandarin”
This is a magical orange-y red. It’s definitely a statement lip, but it’s a little more subtle than a fire engine red. This one is always, ALWAYS in my handbag.
L’Oreal – “Julianne’s Red”
If you are looking for the perfect shade of red, look no further. This is it. Seriously. The best of the best.
