6 Travel Necessities I Never Leave Home Without

Let’s Pack it Up!

Summer is almost here and that means all the travel is happening! Whether you’re heading to the beach, Europe, or adventuring throughout the USA, I’ve rounded up a few things you will need for your trip! I love vacations and consider myself a seasoned packing veteran. I always had a horrible overpacking problem, but I like to think I’ve gotten it somewhat under control. I have narrowed down my list of favorite to things that are vital so you do not take up precious space in your suitcase. Without further adieu, here are my travel necessities!

1. Comfy Shoes

Whenever I am traveling somewhere, I always regret if I wear shoes that are uncomfortable. I’ve learned as much as I love cute shoes, if you’re feet are killing you the whole time it probably isn’t worth it. I’ve been loving cute sneakers lately, like these Tretorn ones above! Fashionable and functional? Yes. Please. Here are more of my favorite shoes for traveling:

2. Travel Guides

Honestly, there are few things I love more than researching for a trip. I always have so much fun finding little spots to see and planning out all the details! I always try to stock up on travel guides or do some online searches before heading somewhere new. These 36 Hour Guides by the New York Times are so helpful, and it’s a definite bonus that they are such a cute addition to your bookshelf. These Wildsam field guides are so great too, and they fit perfectly in a crossbody bag! I’ve linked some of my other favorites in the widget below!

3. Passport Holder

It may not be the most necessary item on this list, but I think we all need a cute passport holder. They are such a fun little accessory when traveling outside of the country! This Kate Spade one is adorable! It’s super simple, but the “Ready for Departure” makes it just a little bit fancy. It is so fun to find a passport holder that matches your personality, whether it’s simple like this one or bold like this one! Here are some of my other favorites:

4. Crossbody Bags

Cross body bags are PERFECT for traveling! I rarely find myself using anything else. There is nothing worse than carrying around a huge bag with things you don’t need. Whenever you use a small cross body, it makes you only carry the essentials, which is a great remedy for us overpackers! 5. A Sturdy Suitcase

I think everyone needs a great suitcase when traveling. I love using the same one that is always consistent in my travels. This Pink suitcase from Target is adorable! I can’t even handle it. I love hard suitcases because they always seem to last so much longer! This one is another great option. Here are some more that I love:

6. Easy Dresses

When packing for a vacation, easy dresses are always my go to. They don’t require too much planning, and they are perfect to throw on for a day of walking. In this southern heat, flowy dresses are such a great option when it’s too hot for anything else! I love this one above…I think it would be the perfect addition to my closet!
