Because, y’all it’s H-O-T!

It is approximately 100 degrees and 97% humidity just about every day all day around here. If you are in the South or even on the East Coast then, phew, you know what it’s like. Here in Florida it almost feels like you’re underwater it’s so humid! But like everything, it’s just a season, even if it’s a no-good-truly-miserable season, ha!

Over the years I’ve found my go-to beauty products that have eased the pain of the humidity and have helped me stay fresh-ish looking on the outside, even if I’m practically melting inside!

I hope these 8 products are just as helpful for you as they’ve been for me and, if nothing else… just pile your hair on the top of your head, spray it with dry shampoo, and say a prayer. Fall will be here before you know it!

8 Beauty Products That Fight The Humidity

Beauty Counter’s Tinted Moisturizer:

The thought of a full face of foundation is almost too much to bare, plus I love the way tinted moisturizer works in the humidity. It’s almost like it was made for it! Recently I’ve been either wearing this tinted moisturizer by itself, or mix with my foundation. Both give a great glow.

Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Powder:

In my humble opinion, this is the best powder I’ve ever used. I use it over tinted moisturizer and foundation alike. It’s super light-weight and so easy to wear.

Rodin Olio Lusso’s Illuminating Liquid and Powder:

I say, if you are going to sweat you might as well glow! I’m team highlighter all the way. Not only is it just so pretty but it’s great at making your humid “sheen” look purposeful, ha.

I love using the powder to highlight my cheekbones, nose, and cupid’s bow. And I’ll mix a few pumps of the liquid with my body lotion and apply to my arms, neck, collar bone, shoulders, and legs.

My motto is: If it’s wrong to sparkle like a Disney Princess, then I don’t want to be right.

Soap & Glory’s Thick and Fast Mascara:

This is the very best humidity mascara I’ve found. I swear by this stuff and trust me, I’ve tried them ALL by now. Not only does it give a nice volume to your lashes, but it also stays in place. I cannot say ENOUGH great things about this mascara.

MAC Cosmetics’ Pro Longwear Paint Pot:

Okay, so this stuff is essential. I wear it in the color “painterly” and put it on my eyelids as a base before I apply any eyeshadow, liner, or mascara. It’s the glue that holds everything together and in place. I’ve used this for years and years. Truthfully, this is a game-changer product. If you buy one thing, make it this.

Fun Hair Accessories:

So here’s the deal, my hair doesn’t really frizz in the humidity… No, my hair goes completely flat and sad. But, I do think that hair accessories help distract from whatever is happening on the top of your head! Never under estimate a good hair clip or head band!

Living Proof’s Dry Shampoo:

Call me crazy, but I think this dry shampoo really helps my hair stay longer and not fall flat as soon as I walk outside. The texture that dry shampoo gives my hair is just what it needs. I put this in freshly blown dry hair as well as 2nd day hair.

  1. A decent “dupe” for the Laura Mercier Powder is the No7 brand “Perfect Light” translucent loose powder. It’s very finely milled, layers well over my cc creams and full coverage foundations alike, and you can find it at Walgreens for $12.99! I love LM but this is a great option for those who don’t have the cash to spend on LM so I wanted to share my experience 🙂

  2. I love the Laura Mercier powder as well, I just recent bought it and I can’t believe I didn’t convince myself to buy it sooner! I’ll definitely have to try out Living Proof’s dry shampoo, this California heat makes it harder to add volume to my hair!
