Print Your Photos

I have a new hobby: printing and framing photos. Seriously, I am on a ROLL. I’ve been printing photos and putting them in pretty little frames left and right, and they just make me so happy. Our entry table is now filled with frames of all different sizes, and now I’ve moved on to our desks and nightstands. It’s addicting.

Growing up with a photographer for a father, there were NO shortage of photographs in our home, and my favorite part of going home is always picking up all the small framed photographs around the house. It really does make a house feel like a home. So this year I made a promise to myself that I would start printing.

I made a little “album” in my phone and named it “To Print”, which has been really helpful. I just send my dad (he has a photo lab in his studio) the files, and he’s been printing them for me, which has been so much fun. I’ve heard that Costco has a great photo printing service, and I’ve used Artifact Uprising before as well; I’ve heard amazing things about this printer if you want to move your operation in-house.

Anyway, I can’t tell you just how satisfying it is to have printed photos! But now that I have all of these images, I needed frames. I have my eye on a few special ones like this one and this one, but since I went a little crazy, I needed an affordable option that still looked really nice, so I went to Amazon, and it didn’t disappoint!

I have had *such* great success with this brand and have purchased quite a few frames. I also love these acrylic frames as well. I have one, but I’m going to order a handful more because they are fantastic.

Also, I love the idea of bringing back framed photos as a go-to gift idea, don’t you?! It’s inexpensive, but so thoughtful and really doesn’t take that much effort!

All of that to say, I love this new hobby of mine and I hope you too will fall back in love with the printed photograph!!

P.S. As I type out this post I realized that I have not finished our 2019-2020 photo album (see what I’m talking about here) or even started it. Would someone hold me accountable to that, PLEASE? ugh.

P.P.S. I’ve added lots of my favorites over on my Amazon Store Front! Hop on over and check it out!

  1. Funny you mention your 2019/2020 Yearbook. JUST last night I had the same conversation internally how I MUST get better with that and get going on it. They are work, but the end product is so enjoyable! LOVE these frames and the idea of adding more around the house!

Pre-COVID, I would always look at Home Goods or TJ Maxx for frames that I would store away for gifts! I should really order some to have on-hand. Great reminder!
