What Page Are You On?

Guys, can you believe it… we’re already halfway through the month! So we (me and the Ashley Brooke Book Club Editors: Betsy & Katherine) thought it would be the perfect time to check in to see how you’re getting along with our April selection, Good Riddance! We are dying to know your thoughts so leave us a note in the comments below and tell us everything…. are you loving it? What page are you on?

I for one thought it was hilarious and there were so many laugh-out-loud parts at the beginning of the book I couldn’t get over, also I totally watched the first few seasons of Riveredale so I loved the references to the show! Can’t wait to hear what you’re thinking so far.

We also thought it would be fun to suggest other book titles that compliment this month’s read (if you are a fast reader and have already finished!), and introduce you to something fun that can either be just for you or for your favorite book lover in your life.

I hope you enjoy these recommendations and please don’t be shy. We want to know your thoughts on the book so far!

Read A-likes:

Last month I received quite a few e-mails asking for read-a-like books! I was actually shocked that so many of you flew through our selection that quickly… y’all are FAST! So for those of you who are literally devouring books left and right, this is for you! Below are three of our favorite books that are similar to this month’s selection. So if you are enjoying Good Riddance, you will most likely enjoy these three!  They involve the entertainment industry, food, and NYC shenanigans. You’ll love them!

Gift For The Book Lover

We’re also excited to share some fun book adjacent content with you each month–it may be a bookish gift (for you or a friend! ;)), a beautiful journal or coffee table book, or a delicious recipe that pairs perfectly with your latest read.

Book Vases

This month I couldn’t resist featuring these beautiful book vases. This time of year makes me want alllll the flowers and I love these vases for holding fresh blooms. The other great thing about them is you could use them to hold anything else you fancy, like office supplies, utensils, makeup brushes… really, the world is your oyster here!

Also I kind of think this would make the perfect Easter (this one is on Amazon Prime!) or Mother’s Day Gift, don’t you?! For under $25 it makes the perfect ‘just because’ purchase!

  1. I finished it last week. I did the audiobook to and from work. I thought it was funny. It almost felt like a sitcom when someone does something and you’re embarrassed for them. I had that feeling with Geneva.

I’m currently reading Nicholas Sparks Every Breath and listening to Then She Was Gone (audiobook in the car I don’t recall author right now).

  2. I finished it about an hour ago. So much fun. Even Geneva had charm! I really feel Elinor Lipman paved the way for Where’d You Go, Bernadette? and Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Oh, also – I really enjoyed The Coincedence of Coconut Cake!

  3. Almost done with the book and definitely love it! It’s an easy read and draws you in where you dont want to stop. Can not wait to finish it and see what happens in the end!

  4. I’m on page 125, so almost halfway through. Super cute and fun so far. I’m loving her relationship with her dad and his attitude and protectiveness.
