three women eating around a tablesource

The ABD team is hitting the road later this week (more details to come!!) and while we’re gone, I’m sure we’ll be doing our fair share of eating out.  So I figured we could talk about the finer points of eating out this week.

A key part of eating out is interacting with your waiter or waitress.  Be sure and greet them cordially with a hello, not barking demands.  When making requests be sure and use please and thank you, just like mom taught you!

Listen as your server describes the specials and answer her questions politely with words, not grunts or gestures.  Feel free to call them waiter or by their first name to get there attention but under no circumstances should you snap your fingers or wave your hands wildly.
