One of the back to school transitions is always meeting and getting know your teachers.  Teachers work so hard to educate their students and many of them aren’t thanked often enough!  Here are some etiquette tips for parents and students to remember when it comes to your teachers:

R E S P E C T: Respect that the classroom is the teacher’s domain.  Teach your child to respect his or her teacher’s rules just as they respect your rules at home.  This also goes for parents, be respectful of  the rules and ways of your child’s classroom

Addressing Teachers: By the time kids are in kindergarten they should know how to address teachers and other adults in an authoritative position.  Be sure they are using the teacher’s last name and the appropriate greeting, be is Miss, Ms., Mrs. or Mr.
