Let’s Talk Maternity Style!

Everything I’ve been wearing and loving lately…

And just like that… I’m feeling *very* pregnant! Honestly, I do love dressing the bump and always miss it a little when baby is here. But then again, I also find myself craving high-waisted anything right now too, ha! If you are also pregnant, know that I am with you when trying to figure to out what to wear and feel good, especially when that changes by the day.

So I thought I’d pull together some pieces that always work for me during pregnancy, but also some really fun and pretty things that would be great for any pregnant gals out there!

And if you want more maternity ideas, here’s what I find super helpful for pregnancy in general (everything from the best belly cream to what I wear underneath all of my dresses) and here are all my maternity must-haves the first time around.

My Maternity Style

My top three categories, if you will, are dresses, denim, and athleisure. I most often find myself reaching for one of these three, depending on the day and my mood! See all below…

Flowy dresses are it for me! Love the easy style of the above dress. I also love Hill House dresses (the nap dress is a personal favorite) for their easy shape over the bump. They just released an *actual* maternity line, so this and this (gorgeous!) might be more forgiving as the bump gets bigger and bigger!

The above dress is so pretty and runs very loose (I’m in a size small here). LAKE has great options for oversized styles, like this and this caftan (see on me here), which is great for early pregnancy. (Also worth noting that their robes and maternity pajamas are my absolute favorite!)

This shirt dress looks very bump friendly… this one, too with the empire waist. And this dress is just gorgeous! Love this one, too.

Note: I wear these under all dresses all the time!

The real MVP of this pregnancy so far has been this pair of wide-leg denim. I have them in both the light and regular wash and I am SO into them. I love how they make me feel like myself and truthfully they are very comfortable. My first pregnancy I swore by these, and I still truly love them, but this go around they actually hit right at my c-section scar so the wide-leg has been a better fit.

And usually when I throw on denim, I pair with an oversized/flowy blouse (love this one) or a button-down. I’ve been able to get away with my usual sizing up until now, but I’m on the verge of having to size up or actually go into real maternity tops… like this cute one (see on me here!).

I have been living in this easy t-shirt for months, and just bought a bigger size to accommodate the bump. This maternity skirt is so easy to thrown on and still feel pulled together.

Varley sweaters (here and here) have been awesome for me lately. They seem to be an oversized fit in general so have been great to accommodate the bump, and then will be able to wear after baby, too. This tight top and this t-shirt version have been awesome for me too, both are nice and long, and I just size up.

But honestly, when all else fails, I’ll just thrown on a pair of leggings and go!
