August’s Book: Very Sincerely Yours

Hello August, where did you come from?! I can hardly bellieve the last month of Summer is here! Although, let’s be honest, in Florida, it will feel like Summer for at least two more months.

This month we are reading Very Sincerely Yours by Kerry Winfrey and the story of Teddy and Everett will have you swooning. I loved this sweet rom-com with Mr. Rogers vibes and I think you will too. It’s going to be the perfect way to close out the Summer.

Quick Summary

Carly Kennedy is on the struggle bus. In the midst of trying to keep her fledgling PR business afloat, she Teddy Phillips is reeling from a recent break up. After moving back in with supportive friends, she finds comfort in Everett’s Place, a public television show for children. Late one night she emails Everett with a question, hoping he will have all the answers much like he does for his youngest viewers. Thus begins a sweet correspondence between Everett and Teddy. Before too long their worlds collide and when their lives start to go in different directions, they have to decide whether or not they belong in each others.

I couldn’t put this book down! I loved the themes of work and purpose, the female friendships, and of course the sweet romance between Teddy and Everett. This is the perfect book to cozy up with on the couch or take with you on one last Summer trip!

This book was so, so sweet! I adored Teddy and Everett and especially enjoyed Teddy’s friends and the ways they loved and supported her after a bad breakup. I wanted to join their girl gang in the worst way!
