The One Thing: The Lip Balm I Can’t Stop Recommending

I thought it’d be fun to every so often share a hero product (*the one thing*) I’m currently obsessed with and just need to do a deep dive with you on! The things I’d happily gift to a girlfriend, recommend over and over again, and make life a little better and easier. These aren’t sponsored posts, just my tried-and-true favorites that I’ve been wanting to share with you and deserve more than a sentence!

EADEM Le Chouchou Lip Softening Balm

You guys, there is so much so much out there (as we’ve discussed, come join!) that I’ve felt the need to streamline and simplify lately. So that’s my focus behind-the-scenes, and hopefully you’ll feel it here, too. We’ll see if it resonates! I thought I start by sharing individual products, ideas, ways to be that are resonating with me… simple, easy, effective, you name it. What I love, use, and reach for time and time again. We’re starting in the beauty department because, obviously.

I have struggled with peeling lips for literally forever. And honestly, I think most lip balms and lip “treatments” just make them worse. Even the super buzzy lip mask that everyone loves has notoriously made my lips peel!

So many of them have that thick and sticky texture that makes your lips feel taken care of while you’re wearing it, only to somehow leave them feeling even drier the second it wears off. I kept thinking, why am I constantly applying lip balm and my lips are STILL dry?! Dry, peeling lips have always been an issue for me, and I swear they’ve only gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. (And let the record state it’s not a hydration issue, I’m really good about drinking so much water!)

the lip balm over lipstick

I grabbed a tube at Sephora on a whim last year and within about a week, I went out and bought a few more in different colors. I keep one in my handbag, one on my desk, one on my nightstand, and one in my bathroom. The addiction is legit, you guys.

Why This Lip Balm Is Different

This is where it gets good. Le Chouchou feels less like a traditional lip balm and more like skincare for your lips, which is, HELLO, exactly what I needed. Honestly, why didn’t I think of that?

Instead of just giving you that temporary coated-in-balm feeling, the formula is designed to actually care for the skin on your lips. It helps gently soften and exfoliate dry, flaky skin without feeling harsh, uses peptides to help lips look plumper over time, and gives them that deep, nourishing moisture I am always looking for.

Basically, it’s actually doing something for my lips instead of just giving me a quick hydration fix.

And THAT is why I love it so much. I’m not reaching for it all day because my lips immediately feel dry again. I’m reaching for it because I genuinely love how it feels, and over time, I can actually see and feel a difference in my lips. They’re softer, smoother, and so much less flaky. Also, the texture is GOOD. It’s this super comfy, cushiony jelly that feels amazing and gives your lips the prettiest gloss and or wash of color. My favorite is the clear (Butter Mochi is the official name) and I reach for Fig Sauce when I want a hint of color.

Anyways, I have officially become the person telling everyone in my real life about this stuff, so I figured it was high time you knew too! It’s $24, does exactly what it says it’s going to do, and is one of the very few lip products I’ve tried that I immediately went out and bought multiples of.

You will love it. And if you also have chronically dry, peeling lips, PLEASE report back. I have a feeling you will also be a super fan!

And while we’re on the topic, this is the lip liner and gloss combo that made my sister call me to ask if I got lip filler without telling her, ha! It’s a very convincing optical illusion, and I’m into it.

AND one more for you! Here is every beauty product I’m wearing and loving right now.
