It’s A Girl!
Over the weekend I threw Betsy, my bestie who just so happens to also be our wholesale and customer service director, a baby shower! Betsy is having her second baby girl (eek!) and I couldn’t have been any more excited to whip up a special day just for her.
The shower turned out so lovely and the food ended up being amazing (I always get nervous about the food! I make Ryan taste everything, twice.) and she was showered with ALL of the monogrammed gifts a momma-to-be could ask for! It ended up just being the best day!
But I have to tell you, I couldn’t have pulled this off without my “team”! Growing up my mom was the neighborhood “shower lady”, and I don’t ever remember a time in my childhood when we weren’t planning some sort of shower for someone, so over the years, my mom, sister, and I have become a well oiled machine. We all have the same china and flatware so that when one of us is throwing a party that will be more than 12 people, we know the extra plates and champagne flutes are available! Also, the best thing about our trio that it’s a built in cleaning service! The one who is hosting the shower (me, in this case!) does all the prep work, cooking, cleaning, setting-up, etc. and then the clean-up/re-fill/brew-more-coffee-crew comes in (my mom and sister) and helps run the shower while the host gets to entertain the guests! It’s our thing, and I love it. So when I say I could not of done this without them, I legit couldn’t and wouldn’t! I am so glad they were there to help make this party such a success!

I found these teeny tiny sheep slippers, and I just about flipped over them. Now, only if I could find them in my size. SO. CUTE. The first thing I am doing when I get to hold baby Reese: Putting these on her tiny feet!
Do you remeber that painted macaroon DIY we did a few weeks ago?! Well, they turned out PERFECT! I placed them on top of my mom’s homemade lemon bars and they couldn’t have looked any sweeter!

My Go-To Shower Menu:
I try and keep my shower menu pretty simple, and I do a variation on this menu just about every time!
- Homemade Quiche: Spinach Bacon and Veggie (along with GF & DF versions of both, because you never know!)
- Fresh Fruit
- Avocado Toast with Marinated Tomatoes (this is ALWAYS a hit!)
- Dessert: Donuts, Lemon Bars, Macaroons
- Tea, Coffee, Water, & Orange Juice
- Champagne (of course!)
This is my go to list… works every time!
My friend Kristin brought donuts, which was such a big help! And I found these little sugar bees online but I wasn’t sure where I was going to put them, but too cute not to use! So when the donuts arrived I ended up placing them on top of the donut tower as a little nod to Betsy’s bee themed nursery!

Overall the shower ended up being such a huge success and after it was over, I promptly put on my pajama pants and ordered a pizza for dinner!
Best weekend ever!

What bread do you use for the avocado toast? And how do you marinate your tomatoes? Thank you so much!
So beautiful Ashley!
Thank you, Friend!
