People hate to talk about money. I think this is why the “who pays” dilemma can be such a dating turn off. Maybe these tips can help clear up some confusion.
-Whoever invites the other person out should pay unless the two of you agree to splitting the check or “going dutch”
-If the person who instigated the date pays for dinner and a movie and the other person suggests getting ice cream after wards, that person should offer to “treat’ for this new activity.
-If a date comes up spur of the moment and it’s unclear who asked whom, it’s best to probably just split the cost. One of you could pay for dinner, the other for a movie.
