Ashley Brooke Desigs_Desk Obsessed_The Love List

This week’s Desk Obsessed features the oh-so- fabulous Jess Graves of both Graves Social and The Love List. I’ve been reading The Love List for a few years now and I just can’t get enough of Jess’ blogging aesthetic! The Love List is at the tippity-top of my daily reads so as you can imagine, I’m over the moon to feature Miss Graves on ABD today!! And lucky for you we’ve got all the dish on Jess’ desk”“ from pens to snacks to music: all the sassy details! Hope you enjoy!

Name and Occupation: Jess Graves, Publicist + Brand Consultant, Graves Social and Blogger, The Love List

Is your desk more OCD organized or artistically organized chaos?
Somewhere in between! I love cups and trays — things that corral all the small objects I tend to collect. I’m also a huge fan of inspiration boards. I love to have an eyeful in my workspace, it keeps me inspired!

What’s your go to pen or pencil? (We know you have a favorite!)

Le Pens! I have them in a million colors and whenever I run across them in a shop I can’t resist buying one or two. It’s a fun little thrill for two or so dollars.

What are you listening to at your desk these days? If you prefer to work in silence, is there a song or album that’s gets your juices flowing when you’re stuck in a rut

I am a BIG Spotify junkie. I make lots of playlists (which I often publish on my blog) to spin throughout different months and moods. I also have a master “Songs of the Week” playlist that I use to catalog whatever tunes I’m into at the moment. Since Spotify notes what date you added songs to your list, it’s fun to go back and see what you were spinning a year ago. I love that I can pull up any album too — right now I am on a serious Lumineers kick.
Are there snacks or treats within arms reach of your desk? What are they?
Coffee. Always. Lots of coffee!

What 3 Things on your desk keep you on track and inspired?

My Graphic Image day planner is my brain. Even though I’m a huge Apple junkie and people are constantly bewildered that I make zero use of techie calendar functions, there is just something about writing things down! Past that, I couldn’t live without my MacBook Air or iPhone.
