Eitquette Wednesday: Blended Family Wedding Invitations

On our docket right now we have a sweet bride we are thrilled to bits to be designing for!

The groom has parents who are divorced and both are remarried.  As all the parents want their names on the invitation, the bride turned to us to figure out how to make that work!

Per Emily Post’s Etiquette the invitation will read as follows:

Mr. and Mrs. Greg Wilson

request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter

Grace Anne Wilson to David Chason Metz

son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson  and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Metz

March twelfth, two-thousand and eleven
five o’clock in the evening

Hyatt Rengency Sarasota, Florida
Reception to follow

If all parents request their name on the invitations the order is as follows: bride’s mother and spouse first/ bride’s father and spouse second/groom’s mother and spouse third/ groom’s father and spouse fourth.
