Fall in Florida, is, well, special. I would be totally lying to you if I told you that I din’t have serious Fall FOMO. Honestly, if I see one more apple picking photo I might cry, ha! Thankfully, we will be heading on a road trip later this month to the mountains and I promise if I see an apple orchard that is open for business I too will spam your Instagrem feed with idyllic Fall photos, but until then… we will be sweating it out here in the sunshine state!

Valley Floral Midi Dress

Truthfully living in Florida is kind of a dream, 70% of the year you wonder why any one would live anywhere else! It’s magical, but coming off a hot Summer we would all love a crisp Fall breeze – just one! I’m making do with lots of Fall baking (made this recipe yesterday) and switching out some of my Summer brights with Fall florals.

I picked up this dress a few weeks ago and I have completely fallen in love with it. I’ve already worn it twice. I even wore it out to dinner with Ryan last Friday night and I got stopped twice about it! Both times the ladies wanted to know where it was from. This Indian hand blocked floral is just so pretty and timeless. Plus, these colors lend themselves to Fall while still being Florida appropriate and easily paired with a cardigan.

It’s one of those dresses that just feels so good on. I can’t say enough wonderful things about it. Below I found a handful of dresses that are similar and quite a few of them are from Etsy! As you know I’m a BIG fan of hand blocked patterns and have this blanket that we use ALL the time. I was thrilled to find an Etsy shop that looked just as fantastic!

  1. You look so beautiful! Do you get your hair highlighted? It is the perfect shade of blonde! Can you please list the color you use so I can give to my stylist? Thank you! I enjoy your blog and content so much! I am also a head and neck cancer survivor, so I know what Ryan has been through. I was diagnosed at 45 and being female, I had no one to talk about it with. Blessings to both of you!

    • Hi Sandra! Yes, I do get my hair highlighted! I’m not sure what she uses honestly, I just sit down and let her do her thing! I go to Kin Salon!

And Sandra! I am so grateful you are okay! Praise the Lord!! We are all together in the fight for sure and happy both you and Ryan are on the other side!
