My Favorite Blue Dress

Blue & White Everything 

This dress is my most recent obsession. I have worn it to 2 events,  date night, and out for brunch since I got it. The silhouette, the colors, the patterns, everything about this dress makes me so very happy! If you haven’t already noticed, I am a blue and white girl. Most of my closet is blue and white with a bit of pink thrown in. I feel most like myself in these colors! When I spotted this dress when Alex launched her latest collection, I just knew if would be perfect for Spring/Summer in Florida. I wasn’t wrong! 

I’ve been a long time fan of Persifor, so when Alex and I became real life friends a few years ago, my day was made. Not only is Alex incredibly talented but she’s also so VERY sweet. I love all of the dresses she creates, and her classic shifts are my favorite.

Now, if you are anything like me when you hear the words “shift dress” you panic a little bit, don’t worry… I have a solution! For years I have had such a hard time finding shift dresses that will fit my figure. I’m a little bit curvy in the booty area, and have a smaller waist/bust, so most shifts tend to either be too tight on my rear or too loose on top. But, I just order a size up and take it to my trusty tailor and bff Kim… she works her cinching magic! If you don’t have a good tailor, that needs to be the first thing you do today, because oh my gosh, they will change your life! I take everything from Old Navy to sequins to Kim, because if I really like it, I really want it to fit! 

Also, we need to just take a moment for these shoes. These may just be the best shoe purchase of my life. I wear them ALL THE TIME! Plus I have them in blue suede as well. If you are looking for a good summer sandal that you can dance the night away in, THIS is the shoe for you. Seriously. Plus it comes in like a bazillion colors.

I’m head over heels for this pretty little shift and cannot tell you how many complements I’ve received on it. If you are looking for the perfect dress to get you from brunch to date night to wedding guest, friends you just found it!
