The Soulmate Equation
February’s Book is Here!
Happy February! I don’t know about you, but I love February and Valentine’s Day: Romance, all the pink and red, Galentine’s Day. I am here for every heart and pink sprinkle all month long. I also love selecting our February book because it feels like the pinnacle for a book club that’s all about rom-coms. This month’s book is one by repeat authors (we read this one together back in 2019!) who we just adore around here: Christina Lauren . This duo’s books are some of our very favorites and we’re excited to read their latest one with you this month!
The Soulmate Equation
Jess Davis is a single mom and a statistics and data expert who has no interest in dipping back into the dating pool. Once she hears about GeneticAlly, a DNA based matchmaking service, she has to admit, she’s intrigued. Maybe science is a better way to go about dating. Reluctantly, she submits a DNA sample, only to be matched with someone at 98% compatibility, the highest the company has ever seen. Turns out her “soulmate” is someone she’s met before and never would have chosen on her own. Ready to forget the whole thing, Jess is having trouble making ends meet when GeneticAlly offers her big money to see if the service’s compatibility score plays out in real life. She really can’t afford to refuse the offer and before long she is learning all about whether or not the science behind this match is all it’s cracked up to be.

Okay, so this book came out in May of last year and I finally got the chance to read it over the holiday, and oh my gosh, I LOVED IT. My sister had read it first and we were texting back and forth the entire time. So flirty, just what we need this February! 😉
A new Christina Lauren book is always an immediate add to my TBR. I loved The Soulmate Equation–it was was cute, quirky, and I loved the science-y look at love. A perfect read for February!
Christina Lauren never disappoints and this book was no exception! It’s such a unique premise with characters that you grow to love and root for as you read. Loved this one so much!
