Freshly Squeezed Homemade Lemonade For One

When you just need a little sweet something!

Last week on Instagram stories I shared my ridiculously easy freshly squeezed homemade lemonade recipe for one and wow! You guys were into it! I’m glad I’m not the only one who sometimes just wants (ahem, NEEDS!) a glass of fresh lemonade.

Once my story “expired” I received a handful of follow-up emails asking how-to, so I thought I’d give it a permanent space on the blog. The recipe is sweet and simple, and the perfect afternoon pick-me-up, because we all need to make lemonade out of lemons every now and again. See my recipe below, along with an assortment of adorable juice glasses, if you’re in the market!

Freshly Squeezed Homemade Lemonade For One
Ingredients:
  • 2 lemons, juiced (this thing will change your life!)
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup (more if needed, to taste)
  • ice
  • mint leaves (optional)
Directions:

Stir together lemon juice, water, and maple syrup in a large carafe. But if you’re feeling fancy, grab a cocktail shaker to mix! Pour over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves. Sip, sip, hooray!

Now, I know it’s all about the homemade lemonade here, but half the fun is choosing a juice glass to enjoy it in! I own quite the collection of fun juice glasses from vintage daisy glasses like these that my great grandmother passed down to me, to the best juice glass in all the land (see in action here!). These acrylic glasses are a cult favorite if you want to pick up a few. Similarly to choosing the perfect morning coffee mug or tea cup, your afternoon juice glass is *just* as important, in my opinion!
