Heart shaped cookies. Gluten & Dairy Free Cut Out Sugar Cookies

The Best You’ll Ever Make

If we are being honest, finding a *good* gluten/dairy free cutout sugar cookie recipe is hard. Either they don’t taste quite right or they just don’t hold their shape. But this recipe will change the way you think about GF/DF sugar cookies. Not only are they DELICIOUS, but they hold. their. shape. It’s a confection miracle brought to you by my brilliant former pastry chef sister, Kyla.

I spent last weekend at her house and I requested that we make cutout sugar cookies. I love baking cookies with her whenever we are together, mostly because she bosses me around the kitchen and makes me say “yes chef” hahah, and I totally get a kick out of it.

I use intuition in the kitchen, but she uses actual skill. So it’s fun to see her in her element. Plus, she usually lets me have full creative control over the decorating, which is really what I’m there for anyways! It always ends up being a good time!

  1. Okay – looking at these and they look phenomenal. Do you think it work to use butter instead of coconut oil? I have a gluten allergy but am blessedly fine with dairy! Thoughts?
