The Sweetest Baby Sprinkle!

The best afternoon celebrating my favorite mama…

Over the weekend, I had the *absolute* pleasure of throwing a baby sprinkle (in other words, a second-baby shower) for my sister on Saturday afternoon, and it ended up being the loveliest day. I couldn’t let another moment pass without sharing a peek at how it all came together!

As I mentioned on Monday, we were racing against the construction clock to host the shower in our sunroom. I had envisioned this moment ever since I first found out she was pregnant, so being able to pull it off felt like such a treat!

While the room isn’t fully complete—no doors, no light fixtures—but we had floors, walls, and air conditioning, so really, what more could we ask for? To be honest, I was in heaven getting to do this for her, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

With no furniture in the sunroom yet, it ended up being the perfect space to host an intimate luncheon for 10 ladies. I’d been itching to unpack my china and all my pretty tabletop pieces since we moved, and this was the perfect excuse! My parents lent me the table and chairs (honestly, they were lifesavers, and what a difference they made!). I ordered table cloths, napkins, flowers, and from there, it all came together.

When I asked my sister what she was craving for lunch, she quickly replied, “Frontega Chicken Sandwich from Panera,” ha! But this was actually perfect because it helped set the menu. I picked up homemade sourdough focaccia from our favorite local spot, along with some marinated olives and made homemade Frontega Chicken Sandwiches.

We cut cantaloupe, tossed a simple salad, baked two lemon olive oil cakes, and served Aperol spritzes and strawberry lemonade. Honestly, I may never need to plan another menu again—this one was too much fun!

In the end, the entire experience—from setting up to the party itself and even the clean-up—was an absolute joy. I live for a fancy girls’ afternoon like this, and it was truly a dream come true.

P.S. I also threw my sister a baby shower in 2020 (OMG what a wild ride) and it was also a major highlight for me. Nothing quiet like having to figure out how to throw a party while social distancing… but we did it and, wow, did it turn out cute!
