It’s Time To Set The Table
Today is the start of our newest series, The Dinner Party! I’m so excited about this one, and I think sharing a few of my favorite tips, tricks, and menu items with you is going to be a lot of fun. My goal is to make this series easy for those of you who are entertaining shy or new to the whole cooking thing, and inspiring for those of you who have this whole thing down pat, to go ahead and invite someone over for dinner!
I’m by no means an expert at entertaining, or cooking for that matter, but I do really like to do both. I grew up helping my mom prep for parties, wash “the good china”, and re-fill guest’s coffee cups. My mom does many MANY things well, but entertaining is what she does best. And, her motto while we were growing up was, “As long as there’s enough wine, food, and laughter… the night is a success”. So, far beyond the pretty pictures, that’s what I hope you take away from this series. I hope you can feel there’s something wonderful that happens when you invite people into your home and feed them and doing so doesn’t have to be too stressful or too expensive!

With all that being said, I am going to share a few of my favorite kinds of dinner parties over the next few weeks, along with grocery lists and menus. We’ll start off easy with a meal that requires ZERO cooking (wine and cheese night!) and go from there. I don’t do super fussy meals because I have no time in my day for that, so have no fear this will all be super obtainable and yummy!
I hope you love this series as much as I do, and definitely come on back next week because Wine & Cheese night will be one for the books!
