Hello and happy Monday!!

We are quickly approaching Memorial Day weekend and that always signals the unofficial start of summer (despite the fact we’ve been roasting here in FL for a quite a few weeks now!).

With Summer comes barbecues and pool parties and other festive get togethers, so I though we could talk about invitations this week and proper etiquette sending them and responding to them as a guest.  So without further ado…

Ashley Brooke Designs Child's Birthday Invite

We’ve all seen our far share of invitations but here is a quick run-down on exactly what should be included on any invitations be it a formal ball or a backyard BBQ.

-Name or names of the hosts or hostesses

-The occasion. Are we celebrating  a special occasion or is it simply a chance to get together

-Date and time; ending times are not usually included on an invitation, a child’s birthday party could be an exception.

-RSVP or regrets only, if you wish to collect that information.  You may also list how you’d like to receive that info, be it by phone or email or in writing.

-You can also include special information regarding a type of dress or instructions to bring a dish for a potluck.
