Let’s get cookin’!

Okay, real talk for a minute… I have been totally slacking in the kitchen lately. Like reallllllly slacking. I love to cook (usually) but recently I haven’t gotten around to it. I could give you all of my excuses for not cooking, which are good ones… like working from 7am – 9pm, traveling, and lack of inspiration. But let’s be honest, that never stopped me before!

So here’s my conclusion, I am bored. I’m over the 20-ish recipes I have in a constant rotation. I can whip them up without even looking at a recipe, it’s magical, but I don’t want to. They’ve been done too many times already. Also, I’m over meal planning in general. I don’t understand why we can’t just have popcorn and smoothies for every meal??? I’d be more than happy with that. Seriously.

So in efforts to fix this problem I’ve been doing some Pinteresting…  here are a few new recipes I’ve pinned that are on my Summer Dinner list:

Shawarma Spiced Grilled Chicken with Garlic Yogurt Sauce-3

Spiralized Parsnips with Pesto, Roasted Red peppers and Chickpeas:

Now it’s your turn! Tell me what you’ve been cooking lately! I’am ready to get back in the kitchen and make some dinner magic happen!
… my husband will thank you.

P.S. I’ve got several Pinterest boards dedicated to all things in the kitchen, so check ’em out!

  1. I get so bored with my recipe rotations, and usually look to blogs and Pinterest when meal planning for that reason (and I’m so with you-why do we have to meal plan?!). The spiralized parsnips with pesto, roasted peppers and chickpeas you listed looks so good! We made some spiralized zucchini with roasted tomato sauce this week and it was easy and amazing! The recipe is from (there is a video on her fb page right now). Definitely worth trying!
