Plan To Eat App Review: My Favorite Meal Planning Tool

My meal planning secret!

Back in January, I had a moment where I realized my whole meal planning situation, recipes, grocery lists, you know, the works, was just feeling chaotic. My poor recipe binder was bursting at the seams, and honestly, I just needed everything in one place. Whether I was standing in the kitchen or wandering around the grocery store, I wanted it all right at my fingertips.

Surely, there had to be a better way… right?

So, on a roadtrip home from Georgia, I went down a rabbit hole of meal planning tool research—and that’s when I found Plan to Eat. And let me just say: life changing.

If I could stand on a mountaintop and sing Plan to Eat’s praises, I would. (But this blog is my mountaintop, so here we are!)

I. LOVE. IT. SO. MUCH.

And the crazy part is… I’m not even using half of what it can do yet. It’s just that good.

Here’s why I’m hooked:

  1. It holds all my recipes and organizes them beautifully—basically my own personal Pinterest.
  2. You can import recipes straight from a link or add them by hand.
  3. Scaling recipes up or down is a breeze.
  4. Planning meals is so easy. Drag meals onto the calendar and with one click? Grocery list = DONE.
  5. The cooking mode walks you through each recipe step-by-step. (Seriously, it’s the best.)
  6. There’s a mobile version and a desktop version. Thank you.
  7. No-sleep mode while cooking. Again, thank you.

Honestly, I could go on, but all you really need to know is that Plan to Eat is amazing. I’ve cooked way more, tried new things, and it’s made meal planning feel so doable. Being able to drag and drop our favorite meals into the week and have a full grocery list ready to go? DREAMY. If you try it out, you have to let me know! I’ve used it almost every single day since January.

Five million stars for this meal planning tool! So, do you meal plan? What else do we need to discuss about how to make mom life easier?

If you’re curious, here are a few posts I’ve done over the year about my very loose meal plan and prep process… How I Meal Prep (with printable!), Meal Planning and Prepping (with a sample menu of what we eat in a week), and My Meal Prep & Recipe Favorites (all my go-to recipes to stay ahead). Also here’s a big post on how to go gluten- and dairy-free, and here’s one with all my favorite cookbooks that I am always pulling ideas from. More recipe ideas here and here!
