A Whirlwind Trip
EARLY last Friday, Ryan and I caught a 30-minute flight to Miami for an unforgettable weekend with ShopStyle. Honestly, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into for the weekend. All we knew was it was going to be fun… and that it was! As soon as we landed in Miami on Friday morning at 7:30 a.m., we hit the ground running. We had so much we wanted to cram into our weekend, and we couldn’t wait to get a jumpstart on our day!
Friday:
The Hotel:
Neither Ryan nor I had stayed at an Edition hotel, and we were excited to see what it was like. As soon as we walked in, we were in heaven. It was all white marble EVERYTHING with tropical plants everywhere. It was one of the prettiest places we’ve ever stayed. And, the vibe was so Miami, which made it really fun. Rumor has it Drake was staying at our hotel as well. Needless to say, I didn’t run into him because there would have been a joint selfie (obviously!).
As soon as we dropped off our luggage, we headed to our favorite healthy spot in Miami for breakfast at Lilikoi Organic Living. They have the best food. If you are ever in the area, you 100% need to go!
Naps on the Beach:
Once we got back from lunch and settled into our room, we changed into our swimsuits and headed down to the pool and beach. It’s been such a long time since we’ve just sat on the beach, and we had the best afternoon. We both fell asleep for about two hours and woke up sunned and happy. Not bad for a Friday afternoon!

Our Favorite Açaà Spot:
After our cat nap, we headed out in search for an afternoon snack. We decided Açai bowls were just what we needed! We headed to our other favorite Miami place, Under The Mango Tree!
Dinner & Drinks:
Once we got back to the hotel, we showered and changed before heading out to drinks with some of our friends.
After drinks, Ryan and I ventured downtown for tacos. We ended up at Coyo Tacos, and it was amazing. Also, it was a club. This is why I love Miami. You think you are just getting a bowl of guacamole, and you end up in a club.
All in all, Friday ended up being one magical day!
Saturday:
Getting Ready:
Saturday was the big day! I woke up so excited to get the day going. We had a lot on the schedule for the day, so I hopped in the shower and started getting ready.
ShopStyle gifted us these adorable Mark and Graham robes for us to use on Saturday morning. I love how they personalized the backs! Honestly, it made the getting ready process that much more fun!
The Dress from Tuckernuck:
Our first event of the day was brunch with the ShopStyle crew! I ended up wearing this pretty lemon dress from Tuckernuck that I literally cannot get enough of. It’s now all I want to wear! I keep trying to invent events I can wear it to again… anyone want to invite me to a garden party?! I have the perfect dress!
Brunch:
Once we were all dressed up, we headed downstairs for champagne cocktails and coconut lavender pancakes.
I always get nervous at these types of events, especially since I didn’t know anyone, but all of the girls (and our better halfs) hit it off! We spent three hours chatting around the table and getting to know one another. It ended up being such a great afternoon of industry talk and boomerangs!
Quick Photoshoot:
After brunch, I headed to a quick photoshoot that ShopSyle put together. I had the opportunity to shoot with Gabe from Gabe Media, and it was awesome! You can’t even tell it was 1,000 degrees outside in these photos, clearly he’s a pro!
The Match:
Next, it was time to get ready for the main event, the El Classico Match! I cannot even begin to explain to you how excited Ryan was about this game! It was one of the biggest soccer matches ever, and the hype around the event was intense!
We put on our matching jerseys, hopped on the party bus, and headed to the stadium.
The game itself was amazing. We were in the 6th row, and the energy was unreal. Ryan and I kept looking at each other and saying, “Is this even real?!”
… and then Marc Anthony came out during half time, and I about fell over. Does it even get better than M.A.?! I mean really, what even is Miami without good old Marc?!
We both enjoyed the game so much, but it was a total bucket list item for Ryan, which made the night all the more spectacular. Also, just look at those cute custom jerseys. Adorable.
After the game, we headed back to the hotel, changed, and went out for drinks. We were delirious by then, so I completely forgot to take photos. But, the bar we went to was AMAZING, and I am dying to go back. If you are ever in Miami, you need to go to The Living Room. They have live music and one heck of a dirty martini. Go, go, gooo! You’ll love it, I promise.
Sunday:
We spent the majority of Sunday on beach chairs pretending Monday wasn’t right around the corner and reminiscing about the night before. It was just one of those surreal weekends we won’t ever forget.
