We had such a great weekend. I took Friday off to spend the day with my sister and niece. We did a whole Girls’ Day Out: lunch, shopping, coffee, and new books! It was such a sweet day. Then Ryan and I topped it off with dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant. We sat at the bar sipping cocktails, and just chatted about our weeks. It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend!
On Saturday morning, Ryan had Lasik eye surgery, which was so CRAZY. This is something he’s talked about doing since the day we met. His vision was so poor and really, he could not see without his glasses, so this surgery was one he’s been looking forward to for years. But y’all–it was crazy. He walked into the surgery room and walked out, like 7 minutes later able to SEE. It was such a wild thing to witness, and I’m so happy for him. We both almost cried. What a blessing it is to have technology like this.
We ended up laying really low on Saturday while he recovered! By Sunday morning, at his follow up appointment, he had 20/20 vision. BANANAS. He drove us to dinner at his parents’ house a mere 36 hours after surgery. I can’t get over it. And he is on cloud nine, and keeps pointing out all the things he can see and read. haha!
All in all. it was such a cool weekend–it’s starting to make me look at my contacts and glasses a little differently! 😉

5 Things I'm Loving
I just ordered these gardening shears, and I can’t wait for them to arrive. I don’t love the ones I have currently, and these look so pretty and sturdy! Can’t wait to clip my roses.
