Monday Morning Musings | 194
This weekend was *so* much fun… we kicked it off on Friday night with takeout and a movie where both Ryan and I promptly fell asleep on the couch. Honestly, by Friday we can’t hang any longer! I had plans to make homemade pizza, our Friday tradition, but we threw in the towel and ordered tacos! It was the right decision.
Although on Saturday I woke up with a ton of energy and CRAVING blue berry waffles. So I broke out my trusty heart shaped waffle maker (I’m obsessed with this) and whipped up a batch.
We then spent the rest of the day working on finalizing a few nursery things, cleaning up, and I *finally* got to work on my little “bump” journal I had ordered MONTHS ago. It felt so good to check a few things off our list.
Later that night we got all dressed up and headed out to the Heather McMahan show with our best friends for a fun night on the town. We did dinner at the new RusTeak downtown before the show and it was really great, and of course the show was hysterical. There’s nothing better than laughing until you cry with your favorite people!
And on Sunday after church we visited Park Ave in Winter Park for an impromptu brunch. We ended up at Financier Bistro & Bar, which was wonderful! We’ve only ever had coffee there so it was a fun treat to have brunch. I highly recommend – It felt like we were in NYC! Can’t wait to go back.
We spent the rest of Sunday doing all the weekly prep things including sneaking in an afternoon nap, which was honestly so life giving. I’m not a nap person… but quickly becoming one. 😉
Truly such a sweet weekend.
Okay, so now that I’ve totally caught you up on the weekend happenings, let’s chat about the five things I’m currently loving… including the teeniest tiniest baby sneakers! Eek!!
Hope you enjoy! xx
5 Things I’m Loving
one of everything, please!
This is such a fun flirty top, perfect for a Valentine’s Day brunch with the girls! Also, it comes in a STUNNING green color… which you know I love!
Guys, the baby Nikes are KILLING me. I can’t get over how tiny and cute!!!
Fresh Garden Roses
So excited to see Grace Rose Farm’s Valentine bouquets! Their roses are THE BEST and will make your house smell like heaven for a week. Thinking about placing an order for myself! 🙂
$27 Leopard Skirt
This was such a fun find! We went to a comedy show on Saturday night and I wanted something fun and flirty to wear but didn’t want to break the bank, so I did some Amazon browsing and found this ADORABLE slip skirt for $27! It totally fits true to size (I sized up for the bump!) and was really fun to wear! Perfect for date night.
