Monday Morning Musings | No. 212
My weekend faves…
Hi! Happy Monday, I hope your week is off to a great start!
We had such a lovely and very full weekend at home… we started off strong on Friday with a family walk to the park to play fetch with Dolly and two Aperol Spritz to-go! If you are a newsletter subscriber, you know spritzes were on my mind… and I finally made them! (Recipe here!) We ended the night with homemade pizza, a freshly bathed baby, and an Only Murders binge sesh. Are you watching it too?!
And Saturday was *so* good. I had the most productive day I’ve had in SUCH a long time and it felt amazing. We went on a walk and then I headed out for my very first run post baby—and survived (such a win!). Then we went for a lunch date (chips and guac, obviously!), whipped up some banana bread muffins, returned a slew of emails, and rocked a baby to sleep. Could not have asked for a better day!

On Sunday, we went to church (our first time back since having Laurens) and it was so sweet and special. To be honest, I was a bit nervous, but he did fantastic and it was so much fun to dress him up! He wore this little sweet jumper (on sale!) from my girlfriend Meghan and I just couldn’t get over how cute he looked, even though he was wrapped in a blanket the entire time! And I wore this beautiful Baybala dress for the first time and I can already tell it’s going to be in heavy rotation. Such a great fit, and it’s nursing friendly! After church we headed to our favorite little brunch spot for rosé and avocado toast to celebrate.
We rounded out the weekend with friends coming over for a cookout. Ryan made smash burgers on the grill with our new Carbon Steel griddle (this thing is amazing!) and I made this gf/df blueberry crisp. It was such a fun night!
Okay, now that I’ve totally (wow, that was a lot!) caught you up on our weekend, let’s get into the five things I’m loving right now…
5 Things I’m Loving
A few new obsessions…

1.
$20 Pastel Knits
I’m currently wearing this sweater as I type and it’s truly great! It has long sleeves, but VERY airy! Today I’ve paired it with my go-to white shorts, but I can imagine it will look so cute with denim in the fall. Claude is a new-to-me sustainable brand, and I just love their fun pieces. I ordered this flirty top and this fun dress, too!

2.
Acrylic Stemless Wine Glasses
I’m seriously considering scooping these up for our “to-go-spritzes“! We need something fun for our nightly family walks on the weekends, you know!? Plus, they would just be so good to have for all the outdoor activities! I’m nothing if not a cup aficionado and these look PERFECT.

3.
The Prettiest Sandals
I can’t get over just how pretty and classic these sandals are! I love everything Margaux does and these are just stunning. Also, I love that they come in a handful of colors. I, of course, am partial to the ballet pink, but the gold is really fun too!
(But if you are looking for something just to get you through the season, try these for $40!)

4.
Classic-with-a-twist White Shirt
How beautiful is this top?! I can’t get over it. Such a fun twist on a classic. It would be adorable with a fun pair of pants like these (or these!) or just tucked into your favorite pair of denim. Honestly, this is one of those classic pieces you’d have in your closet for forever! LOVE LOVE LOVE.

5.
Silk Scrunchies (on sale!)
I swear by these things… TRULY. I sleep in a silk scrunchie every night and it makes such a huge difference in keeping my blowout looking fresh. They are typically fairly expensive, so it’s the perfect time to scoop them up!
