Monday Morning Musings | No. 266

Hello, Hello! Let’s chat…

Happy Monday to you, friend! I hope you had a lovely and restful weekend. We spent the majority of it at home just playing in our backyard and making forts in our living room. It was such a fun weekend!

On Friday night Ryan and I were both asleep on the couch with Kindles in hand by 8:30 PM, it was almost comical to be honest. Which meant on Saturday morning we were the sunrise crew at the park! First ones there and had the entire swing set to ourselves. We then had Ryan’s parents over for a pancake breakfast and it was so much fun… Laurens was in HEAVEN. The blueberry lemon pancakes were a hit! We spent the rest of the day playing outside and escaping the heat for iced lattes at our favorite little local coffee shop.

And then on Saturday night we got all dolled up (this is what I wore!) to celebrate one of our good friend’s birthday! Her husband threw her a B-I-G bash and we had ourselves a time. So fun! And on Sunday after church we spent the afternoon inside while it poured. Ryan and Laurens built forts in the living room while I prepped Ryan’s birthday cake (this is what he requested). It was such a sweet, sweet Sunday!

But today is Ryan’s birthday so we are playing hooky and heading out for an adventure day, which feels like the perfect way to start the week!

Easy Pre-Fall Dress

Do I need another Hill House Nap dress? Truthfully I do not, but I cannot stop thinking about this one and honestly I wear mine ALL the time. How pretty would it be this fall with this sweater?! Really just love the romance of this one!

These sandals stopped me in my scroll. I love that they have a platform look without actually having a platform. Plus this color is perfect for our Florida fall season. Would be SO pretty with the dress above, don’t you think?! Also, they are under $200!

Hello Gorgeous

I’m having a sunglass moment (see here and here) and I spotted a new-to-me brand on Tuckernuck a few weeks ago and did a little deep dive. I can’t get over all of the fun updated classic shapes AND colors. Currently crushing on this pair.

Insulated Thermal Carafe

Years ago Ryan and I were at a bed and breakfast and they had hot coffee waiting in the morning in their little kitchen for the guests. After a few days we were convinced that we HAD to track down the carafes to have at home. We found them at Home Depot and honestly they have been one of my favorite hosting finds, maybe of all time. They truly are magic! Last week I filled them at 9:30 AM with hot coffee and by 1:00 PM when I was cleaning up I had to be careful not to burn myself the coffee was still piping hot.

$11 Vinyl Letter Stickers

Last Friday night I got a wild idea that I wanted to put stickers on all my electronic chargers… mostly my laptop and AirPods since Ryan and I are constantly mixing ours up! Anyway, I am SO dang excited about these from Amazon… what a fun find.
