I live for a kid-filled weekend…
Good morning and happy new week! I hope you had a lovely weekend—we had such a great one. Lots of family time, slow mornings, and even a girly tea party, which was SO much fun.
Being a boy mom has been the greatest joy, and for the longest time, I thought for sure I’d have another boy. But Juliet has been the sweetest surprise in so many ways! Don’t get me wrong—I love having a boy, but having a girl is just as special. I adore having a little girly sidekick! Taking her to a tea party this weekend with my girlfriends (this is what we wore!) and their daughters was a DREAM. Truly.
Now that Laurens is a bit older, weekends have taken on a different vibe, and I love finding ways to make them feel special. We’ve started picking a family movie to watch together—our current favorite is Ratatouille. We linger in our pajamas longer than usual and I try to make a fun snack or two. Honestly, a few mini dark chocolate chips in a colorful cupcake liner makes Laurens feel like he’s won the lottery!
We’ve also been scootering all over the neighborhood, which feels big to me! I ordered him this new scooter last week, and it’s been a HIT. Meanwhile, Juliet, our little sunshine, is along for the ride! I wear her everywhere (this is a great newborn carrier) and she’s just so happy to be involved. I think we’re starting to find our groove as a family of four and it’s the sweetest thing… now, if only we could get a liiiiittle more sleep, we’d be unstoppable! Ha!
Also, can I just say, besides my Ember mug (which I’ll preach about until the end of time), my crockpot has been a total lifesaver. I finally understand why my house growing up always smelled like dinner at 7 a.m… everything is better with a crockpot! I made this recipe and this one recently, and both will be on heavy rotation.
Anyway, I feel like I could keep rambling, so I’ll wrap it up here. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Now, let’s get into the five things I’m loving…

A few fun things I’m loving right now…
1.
The Prettiest Blouse
I just ordered this blouse and I can’t stop thinking about how pretty it is. I also ordered this for Juliet so we can match! I love a good floral blouse that just makes any pair of denim pop, and this one does the trick.

Fall Pajamas
I ordered these pumpkin pjs* for Laurens and I cannot WAIT for them to come in. I also ordered these for Juliet!
*They run small, so always size up!

Individual Placemats
I love that these placemats are sold separately and not in pack so you could totally mix and match… the colors are SO FUN (there are eight versions them). Perfect for entertaining season! Also a fab gift, tbh.
4.
fancy bag girl
I’m not a super fancy bag girl, but I could be! I’m usually using a tote bag or even a canvas one, but I can’t stop thinking about this handbag… how pretty! Also, here’s a great look-a-like for a fraction.
5.
New Beauty
I’ve been pretty loyal to my Makeup By Mario eyeshadow palette, but I just got this new one in and OMG I love it. The colors are so fun and the sparkle is fabulous. Can’t get enough… I’ll have to do a tutorial for you, so stay tuned!
