Monday Morning Musings | No. 312

Hello, hello! Let’s chat…

Good morning and happy Monday to you! I am currently sitting in bed, freshly showered, with a cup of coffee finishing up this post before my babies get up… and I tell you nothing is more heavenly than that feeling! Juliet has started sleeping through the night (!!!) and we are officially starting to find our rhythm, and I am just so grateful. It feels like we’ve always been a family of four… isn’t it crazy how that happens?!

Anyways, before you get to thinking we have it all together over here, we. do. not. I’ve been trying to tackle a pile of Amazon boxes, a rouge craft project, DIY halloween costumes (if you need costume inspiration, Laurens past two costumes: lion how-to here and dino), and mountain of laundry for days… and responding to text messages?! Forget it! Most days I lose my phone getting swept up into building Magnatile castles or rocking a cooing baby if I’m not knee deep in work or making one of the many meals of the day! And I’m more than content with this, to be honest… one day everything will be a bit more organized, but today/this week/2024 is just not that season.

Speaking of which, when I scrolled through my phone to share a fun image from Saturday or Sunday I had to laugh… all I had were 100 versions of this! On Saturday we spent the morning at my nephew’s birthday party and in the evening we hosted family for the Tennessee football game! And on Sunday, we unfortunately spent the entire day prepping for another hurricane. Ryan did the heavy lifting outside getting our generator up and running, etc… while I was inside ordering groceries all while I was wearing Juliet (this is my favorite carrier once they are a bit bigger!) and playing “construction” with my favorite two-year-old!

Anyway, all of that to say, it was a simple, happy weekend, but we anxiously look forward to the week ahead, praying for all those in this next hurricane’s path. Please be safe friends, sending you so much love!

Okay, these are so cute, and I actually LOVE all the other colorways as well! Margaux is one of my favorite shoe brands (they make *the* most perfect ballet flat), but they really knocked it out of the park with this collection!

I’ve been dreaming up our playroom corner and I definitely think we need a tent! And HOW CUTE is this one?! I’m dying. I want to get one and fill it with colorful pillows (like these!). Love the pretty stripes on this one so much.

Soup Season!

It’s still verrrry hot here, but inside my house there is football, soup, and a very good fall candle, so all is well. I’ve been meaning to update my Le Creuset cookware (mine’s from a million years ago), but I just saw that there is a major sale happening on this color… and she’s perfect!

The BEST Sweater

This sweater feels like your husband’s favorite sweater that he’s owned forever but you stole it and won’t be giving it back, ha! Truly, it’s like sweatshirt status with how soft it is… I LOVE IT. (See it in action here!)

79 Days Until…

Not to be dramatic, but Christmas (!!!) is right around the corner which means decorating for Christmas is EVEN closer. So let’s start thinking about it…. we use our beautiful brass garland every year and it always sells out! Honestly, it’s such a good find for $40 and a use-every-year classic.
