Monday Morning Musings | No. 326

*Don’t miss the giveaway!*

Good morning and happiest of Mondays to you! I hope you had a fun weekend. We had such a great one, and I honestly can’t tell you how grateful I am. After weeks of feeling under the weather, we finally had a weekend where everyone was feeling better—and we really needed it. My heart (and my cup) are so full.

We saw so many friends, had impromptu hangouts, and a few planned ones, too… it just really felt like a weekend, you know? We even got some rest, which is rare! I held Laurens through his Saturday afternoon nap, and honestly, there’s nothing better. All in all, it was a win and I’m just so grateful.

A few highlights from the weekend: On Friday night, I hosted a little Galentine’s Day party (more on this later this week!) for my best girlfriends. I had WAY too much fun setting everything up, making the cake, and getting ready to host. We ended up chatting around that little pink table for almost four hours.

Saturday started a bit too early for everyone, and I looked at Ryan and said, “We need to get out of here—stat!” We texted our best friends, met up with them and their littles for a fun playdate at the new music play class, then headed back to their house for lunch and more play.

On Sunday, after church, turkey sandwiches, and naps, we loaded up the double stroller and headed to our neighbor’s for a Super Bowl party. It’s become our little tradition, and I absolutely love it. The kids run wild, and we try our best to keep up. It’s amazing having such wonderful friends so close by—I’ll never get over it.

Anyway, it was a weekend full of community, and my heart is so happy. And guys, I am PUMPED that it’s Valentine’s Day week. I’ve already ordered way more flowers than necessary (whoops!), but I just couldn’t resist. I’ve got the cutest little gifts and heart-shaped balloons ready for the kids, our teachers, and our sweet nanny. Ryan and I are planning to recreate some of this menu on Friday night. Oh, and just for fun, I’ll be making my famous chocolate cake… because why not?!

*ALSO!! Have you subscribed to my Substack newsletter yet? I moved my weekly newsletter over to Substack a few months ago, and honestly, it’s been such a great platform. Okay, now, let’s dive into my five favorite things this week…

5 Things I’m Loving

A few fun things I’m loving right now…

1.

MVP Ice Roller

I finally got my hands on The Skinny Confidential ice roller, and wow, did it come at the perfect time. Our sleep around here hasn’t exactly been setting any Olympic records lately, so this has been a game-changer. I seriously look forward to using it every morning. I love how it de-puffs and brightens—it truly works, and it feels so good. 10/10 from me!
