Well, hello, December!!

When my alarm went off this morning I had a tiny moment of panic. December?! Already?! Honestly the panic was less about the to-dos and more about all the fun things I want to squeeze in. How are we going to fit in gingerbread houses, ice skating, cookie baking, present wrapping, ornament crafting… you know the list. And then it hit me… we’re already doing it!

Plus, I have two very little people who sometimes are totally into decorating cookies and sometimes (most of the time) would rather be outside getting covered in dirt with construction trucks. So the pressure is off a bit because the truth is… we’re already having all the fun without even trying.

This past weekend felt like a real holiday break. We soaked up so much family time! We saw Frozen the play, baked, played, watched Christmas movies, and stayed up way too late. We visited my grandmother in the hospital and sang her Christmas carols. It was everything I could have hoped for. A little magical, a little chaotic, and just the sweetest mix of both.

And now, in true December fashion, the week is officially kicking off Christmas. The calendar is *so* full, I sat down this morning and made a big list of everything I’m responsible for, where everyone needs to be, and which gifts need to be wrapped by when. We are officially off to the holiday races and I’m so excited!
