Monday Morning Musings | No. 47
We had such a fun and full weekend! On Friday night we wrapped up the week with martinis at our favorite restaurant in town, Hillstone. If you haven’t been to Hillstone and you’re an Orlando local, you must go. It truly is just the very best. On Saturday we ventured over to Tampa in the morning to spend the day at the Oxford Exchange. We had brunch, we shopped, we drank all the coffee, and even spent time doing a little 2019 planning. To say it was a dream day would be an understatement. And on Sunday we went to church and spent the rest of Super Bowl Sunday with our best friends eating way too much guacamole.
I know it might be too much to ask, but I want another weekend JUST LIKE IT.

The Prettiest Flats
A few weekends ago Ryan and I were in Bloomingdales walking through the shoe department when I stopped dead in my tracks, my dream shoe was on display for 40% off. Ryan didn’t even fight me on it when I ordered them on the spot in both pink and black. I think he knew just as much as I did that they were destined to be mine! The shoes came in last week and I haven’t taken them off since!

The Perfect Striped Shirt
Don’t laugh, but my one and only striped shirt had a giant rip on the shoulder and I had been fashion taping it together (no lie) for over a year. I know. But the thing is, it was suuuuch a good shirt and I hadn’t found one I loved enough to replace it. So when I tried on this Vineyard Vines cotton striped boatneck shirt, I was THRILLED. I instantly fell in love and finally was able to retire my beaten up old striped shirt.
*Note – I ordered an XS and it fits like a dream, it’s long enough to be tucked in and is the softest cotton. I’m wearing it here, oh, and it’s under $50!

The Best Everyday SPF
After church yesterday a bunch of my girlfriends and I were swapping beauty tips and my girlfriend Malvie asked me what my favorite every day SPF was now that I was wearing foundation without the SPF. I told her hand’s down it’s Super Goop Daily Moisturizer. I am obsessed with this stuff and wear it every. single. day. under my foundation and primer. It’s not greasy or heavy. Seriously, so good.

Super High Waisted Denim
I was having an issue with my go-to pair of denim turning everything blue, and it was driving me nuts! My hands were always blue and just about everything else, so I gave in and ordered a pair of J.Crews 10″ denim… and guys, I’m SO OBSESSED. They hit above my bellybutton and fit like magic. They are sooooo comfortable, stretchy, and OMG. I love them, and most of all… they don’t turn my hands blue! Ha!
