Halsbrook Dress, Bag, Necklace c/o // J.McLaughlin Shoes c/o

We had a couple of full but lovely days this weekend, and honestly I could totally use another day or two! But I think everyone feels that way on Spring Forward weekend.

On Friday night we had dinner with my best childhood friend (since we were 3!), Jillian, and her husband Andy. They came into town so we got together at her parents’ house for dinner! My parents and her parents are best friends too, so the 8 of us had dinner together and it ended up being the best evening. We feasted on homemade Italian, Jillian’s mom’s speciality, and we drank wine, laughed, and told old stories until we could barely keep our eyes open. It was an unforgettable night!

On Saturday we attended Brunch at our friends Betsy and Micheal’s house where they hosted a gathering for the big Bay Hill Arnold Palmer Golf Tournament. They live on the course and it was such a fun morning filled with golf excitement and, of course, champagne!

And on Sunday after church we grabbed coffee with our friends Oscar and Leah at one of our favorite local coffee shops, Craft & Common! We had the best time catching up and treating ourselves to vegan cookies and cakes. It ended up being such a fun and spontaneous afternoon treat!

It truly was such a wonderful weekend, and the weather was stunning! I was even able to take my new favorite Spring dress from Halsbrook out for a spin. I recently became familiar with their online boutique, and guys, I am hooked! It’s a high end, carefully curated shop filled to the brim with effortless and elegant pieces. They have everything from this blue dress (which fits like a dream!) to the gold statement necklace I can’t seem to stop wearing. If you haven’t taken a peek at Halsbrook’s stunning selection you totally need too! Halsey, the founder, knows what she’s doing, and I can’t say I’m anything other than impressed! I know you will love it.

5 Things I’m Loving:

The Perfect Spring Dress

I can not say enough great things about this dress. As soon as I spotted it online I knew we were meant to be! This silhouette is truly my favorite to wear, and, so is this color! This dress is such a classic piece that you’ll be able to wear on Easter Sunday, to your cousins wedding, or for your big meeting!

To be honest, this dress might just out-wear little black dress! There’s a new LBD in town.

The Prettiest Accessory

I am a sucker for a pretty straw bag and this one has easily become my new favorite! I just got it and I used it all weekend long. I already know I will be wearing this one WELL into Summer. It’s sweet and feminine, and it actually fits my iPhone XS Max along with a few other essentials… which I can’t say about a lot of my bags!

If you are looking for your bag of the season that you can dress up or dress down, look no further!

The Beauty Tool We Need

I just ordered this little $10 tool! I’m having such an issue with my lashes clumping ever since my lashes started to really grow since using NeuLash.  I did a whole post on my favorite lash serum here (spoiler alert, it WORKS), but since they are now getting longer they seem to be more prone to clumping with mascara!

After a little research I found that this is the best tool for the job. A fancy lash separator! I think this is just the tool we’ve been looking for.

Diffusing on The Go

My sweet friend Paige from the blog The Pink Clutch sent me the Young Living Essential Oils starter kit in hopes that it would help mine and Ryan’s horrific seasonal allergies! Such a sweet gift and so far I’m very into them, even though I don’t know much about how it all works quite yet… I do feel like they are making a difference!

Right now we are diffusing equal parts lemon, lavender, and peppermint at home and I’m thinking I might need this little USB diffuser to put in our cars too! Hey, it can’t hurt, right?!

  1. I’ve been DYING to try the midnight recovery serum for soooooo long and this is the perfect chance to try 🙂
I also started using YL essential oils for allergies. Make a small roller (like a perfume roller) with the lemon, lavender, and peppermint and swipe across your chest. It’s the only thing that seems to calm my eye allergies down.

    • Venice! You are amazing thank you for the tip! Also, you will LOVE the Midnight Recovery Oil!!

  2. I love essential oils and use them regularly, but the best thing I ever did for my horrific seasonal allergies was to start taking local honey regularly. I’m not kidding when I say it changed by life. I put local honey in my hot tea 3-4 times a week all fall and winter and by the spring, noticed significantly less irritation. Now I don’t use it as often (rarely, to be honest) and instead treat it like a booster shot, upping my usage in the spring when I’m more likely to encounter allergens that irritate. Hope you can find relief!
