Bookshop.org & Libro.FM
If you are like me, you have a book addiction. It’s real and, honestly, I am totally fine with it. Buying books will always be my thing. But over the past few months I’ve made the switch from where I normally buy my books (Amazon) to Bookshop.org and Libro.FM, so I want to tell you about it becuase I love the ethos behind both places and I know you will too!
Is an online book seller that gives away 75% of its profits to support local bookstores. SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT. You can choose a specific bookstore to receive the profits of your purchase or profits from your purchase will go in a general pool of earnings that are distributed to bookstores all over the country. I love this so much. Bookstores need our support, especially those of us who are avid readers, and this is such an easy and no-brainer way to do so. Plus, I’ve got to tell you, it’s such an easy platform to use!
We even set up our own Ashley Brooke Book Club “Store Front”. So BOOKMARK it! 😉 We are updating the books in there all the time and it’s a great way to see all of our monthly selections at once!
Is an audiobook platform that supports independent bookstores. When you join you choose a bookstore that will get credit for your purchases each month (over 1,000 bookstores to choose from)! It can be your local independent bookstore or one you choose to adopt! I honestly think this is SO COOL. If you sign up for a paid account, you get 1 free book each month. Plus, membership gives you 30% off additional audiobooks. So it’s just like Audible, but you get to support your local bookstore…. which is ideal.
There’s over 150k+ audiobooks to choose from and the app is so user friendly. I can’t say enough about it. If you haven’t looked into Libro.FM, now’s the time!
I hope y’all will check those out the next time you are shopping for books! I’ve seriously fallen in love with both platfoms!
