My New Mom Favorites

Only the most loved and what worked for me…

Over the past few months, I’ve had a little running list in my notes app of all my best new mom things! (Just like all my favorite newborn must-haves!) I’ve been adding to it any time I’ve found a new go-to that I would want to share with you, and the list has now reached over 30 items, so I figured it was time…

I’ve officially been a mom for twelve weeks (still so surreal!) and it’s true what they say, every single day just gets better and better. I thought I’d absolutely love being a mom, but I didn’t know I’d love it this much, it’s just so much more than I expected.

Anyway, all of that to say, I am by no means an expert at ANY of this, but I thought I’d share my favorites with you especially since they are all currently top of mind and honestly… there’s some really good stuff in this list!

A Few Favorites From The List

Before I get into my favorite products…. If you are interested in breastfeeding I can not recommend scheduling an appointment with a lactation consultant enough! I met with one before and after Laurens was born. We *really* struggled at the beginning and our lactation consultant came out to our home and helped me tremendously, I’m so grateful for her… a literal angel. You can find lactaction consultants here or ask your pediatrician for a recommendation.

I love this bra for pumping/lounging (btw, I really like my pump!), this bra for every day comfort, and this bra to feel like myself! Also, these are genius great for catching extra when feeding and these nursing pads are amazing and well worth it.

I have two of these Amazon dresses and I they have been a go-to! Great to feel put together without a lot of fuss (see here and here). I live in these button downs now and wore them throughout my entire pregnancy (see here!). These dresses are fantastic for feeling like yourself again… date night, brunch, church, etc… and I wore the heck out of mine pre- (see here) and post-baby! Also, can’t forget about the best white t-shirt and cult favorite leggings, both feel like a must. And lastly this Target pajama shirt paired with the coziest robe.

Life Hacks

This temperature controlled coffee mug… need I say more?! This app for tracking all the baby things, very obsessed. This couch/chair stand for all your things (game changer!)… Ryan ordered it for me while at the hospital once we both realized I was going to need a real *set up*! This giant water cup, obviously. And this nightlight for ALL the middle of the night shenanigans! And the most important, a photo printer for printing every. single. photo!

For me just a tiny bit of makeup on made me feel like a real human… so this list is short but sweet! Dry shampoo, concealer, blush/lip, mascara, and an eyebrow pencil were my go-to’s. Oh! And for some reason… this hair clip felt chicer than a ponytail, not sure why but it did. Seriously, five minutes (here’s how I did it!) and I felt like I could conquer the world.

Baby Courses

We ordered the Taking Cara Babies course and gosh… I’m calling it a new mom favorite because I learned *so* much about sleeping! Just knowing Laurens sleepy cues and sleep windows helps make everything make sense. This set us up for success in a lot of ways. And sleep is very much a new mom fave!

Alright, now it’s your turn… I’d love to hear your new mom faves. Let’s get a good list going in the comments, I can’t wait to read what you rely on!
