ABD Weekend Lookbook 6|4-5

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Personally I am wishing for a do-over, I unfortuanately got a bit of food poisoning and haven’t left my bed since Saturday morning… no fun! I am still trying to pull it together today but I’m thinking it will be a few days before I am back up to speed, my husband also contracted some sort of cold (no food poisoning for him!) so we were a sight to be seen! I’m sure this is one of those married moments we will laugh about one day.

Anyway, here are a few things that made this weekend a little brighter…

Photo 1. My pretty sparkly bedside tray! I DIYed this a month or so ago using the same method from the “Entertaining Derby Style” video but I added a little something extra… GLITTER! While the paint was still wet I sprinkled a dust of caramel glitter on the top and then laid a thin piece of glass on the base. It turned out perfect and I love the way the morning light picks up the flecks of butter gold.

Photo 2. Friendship bracelets. The top bracelet is from my sister, she gave it to me at her wedding, and I love it and it means the absolute world to me. I may have even shed a tear or two! The middle bracelet is a bracelet the two of my girlfriends (whom I’ve been friends with since freshman year of college) and I have, and the best part of it is that the beads spell out friend in morse code. And the third bracelet is from Betsy, she gave this to me right before her wedding along with a card that I still to this day can not read without crying. What makes it even more special is she picked it because it is the color of ABD. I’ve been wearing all three braceletes together, they are all so dainty and pretty and I love having my four best girlfriends on my wrist in friendship bracelet form.

Photo 3. These two little nuggets, Sam on the Left and Lucy on the right kept me company all weekend! My husband had to work all weekend (what a trooper!) so these two were good company even if they did tug at their leashes one too many times… poor things haven’t been on a real walk in days!

And last but not least HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my beautiful mom! You are the best and I love you soooo much, I hope you have a fabulous day!!

(P.S. thanks for taking care of me this weekend!)

I hope your Monday is off to a great start and cheers to a fabulous (and healthy!) week!

xoxo- AB
