Here is just a peek at what I was up to this Mother’s Day weekend”¦

We took Saturday morning extra slow and it was glorious! 

After spending a good ten minutes contemplating whether or not I should whip up some pancakes I opted for a little avocado toast instead! I fancied it up with toasted Ezekiel Bread, prosciutto, and a fried egg. 

Is there anything better than a yummy Saturday morning breakfast?! No, there isn’t.

Photo 2: The Perfect Peonies

Whipping up a fancy Mother’s Day brunch for my favorite ladies is one of the things I most look forward to during the Spring! On Sunday afternoon we had my mom, my mother-in-law, and both of my grandmothers over for mimosas and big ole’ homemade brunch! We served personal quiches, orange cranberry muffins, bacon (duh!), crisped potatoes, and of course avocado toast with marinated tomatoes (my personal fave!). It ended up being the best afternoon ever with my fave people! 

Another thing I love about Mother’s Day is getting the opportunity to pretend I am a florist! We picked up these pretty pink peonies and white ranunculus on Friday afternoon at my favorite local flower shop, and I couldn’t wait to put together little bouquets for our moms and grandmas!

Photo 3: A Little Adventure!

On Sunday afternoon after everyone left my sister and brother-in-law stayed over and we just sat around with our shoes kicked off eating popcorn and laughing until Ryan said “let’s go on an adventure!”. We piled in the car, headed to Starbucks and then out on to neighborhood dock for a little sunset happy hour! I often forget that adventure doesn’t just me a trip on an airplane, it can quite literally mean a trip to Starbucks and stepping out your back door!

I don’t think there could have been a better way to wrap up our weekend!
