HAPPY MONDAY!
Here is just a peek at what I was up to this weekend”¦
PHOTO 1: Fall Wreath In The Making
On Saturday we woke up to sunshine and a BRIGHT blue sky which was oh-so-welcomed by all of us Floridians! After the madness that was the Hurricane Matthew prep that engulfed all of last week, we were all so thrilled to see the sunshine!
And since we had been cooped up all week we were all ready to get out of the house and get some things done! I ran a bazillion errands on Saturday, but my first stop was to Micheal’s — I’m dying to whip up a Fall wreath for our front door. I haven’t yet gotten the chance to get started on it, but just knowing that I finally have all of the supplies to do so, makes me infinitely happier.
*We missed the majority of Matthew’s wrath, but those who were severely affected are in our thoughts and prayers, especially those who live in Haiti.

PHOTO 2: Takin’ A Minute
I love to read, but do it FAR less often than I would like. Don’t get me wrong, I listen to audio books like they are going out of style, but just sitting down and reading… I never do it. I have all of these amazing books (that I keep buying..) but when I sit down to read, something inevitably comes up and I will get distracted. It took me 7 months to finish my last book. SEVEN MONTHS… Who does that?!
Anyway, this week I decided that I was going to try a new (totally no-brainer) thing, I put my phone in a different room. I know, it’s earth shattering. All I did was put my phone in a different room and sat down and read while Ryan watched the football game. I literally almost finished the book (who am I?) and I loved every minute of it. I wasn’t distracted by my e-mails, the news, or social media… I just sipped my wine and read my book. It was amazing and incredibly refreshing. Also, feel free to slap me the next time you see me because yes, I do realize “moving your phone to the other room” is not rocket science.

PHOTO 3: FOREVER BRUNCH
On Sunday after church we stopped at White Wolf Cafe for brunch and mimosas! We hadn’t been to White Wolf in years and had forgotten how AMAZING it was, and so close to our church! I think we may just make this our new Sunday tradition, except, if we keep this up, we may need to start ordering a little healthier… whoops! After brunch we hopped across the street to peek into one of our favorite antique shops before heading home to start the laundry and grocery shopping. It couldn’t have been a better Sunday.
