On My Mind | No. 05

Absolutely the most random thoughts…

I’m back with a new On My Mind, a stream of consciousness post about all the things on my mind right now… from podcasts to skincare to traveling with baby, below is just a little bit of this and a little bit of that. But I just love these posts and I hope you do, too!

And let’s go….

I have a new online crush and I’m in deep! Have you heard of The Lazy Genius?! Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but you guyyyyyssss I’ve now listened to five podcast episodes this week, and I’m addicted! I talked a little about it in A Dash of Delight, my new Wednesday newsletter! (Sign up here.) But “lazy genius-ing” things may just be my love language, as I’ve already put her tips to use. Especially after listening to this episode on coming home from a trip. GENUIS.

Speaking of podcasts, I’m on a roll this week! I listened to this episode by Don’t Mom Alone after my friend Blair recommended it on her stories. I know I’m a little ways away from putting some of these things into practice, but I was so encouraged by the principles she discussed. Honestly, I’m just looking forward to all the different mom seasons, while fully soaking this one!

Okay, while we are on the topic of mom-ing, we are taking Laurens on his first flight to NYC (!!!) next week. I think he’s going to do great, but you know, I could use all the tips! Feel free to send them all my way because I know I’m not the only one who could use it… let’s all chat in the comments below!

I finished Partner Track, and it was delightfully cheesy. The perfect background show for laundry in my opinion! And started I started Do Revenge while meal prepping yesterday, which is a mix of Gossip Girl and Clueless, and the costuming is genius! Both are good recommendations if you are looking for something totally easy, breezy to put on.

This dress is currently on it’s way to me and I cannot wait for it to arrive. I think it will be the prefect fall frock! Also, it totally reminds me of the upholstery on a chair my parents own… which just makes me love it even more.

I went to the dermatologist this past week for my yearly check, and, as always, we ended up talking skincare the entire time. She sent me home with this daily serum and this overnight cream to try and it’s only been a few days, but I’m loving it so far. Also, nothing like an actual dermatologist recommended product, right? Will keep you posted on what I think!

My sister just raves about these and honestly, I trust her on all things organization and I needed a new set! If she recommends them, then I KNOW it’s a five-star situation!

Happy weekend! xx

  1. I discovered the lazy genius podcast and book a few years ago and absolutely love her! Her ideas on cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry have made these tasks so much easier and faster. Her book is definitely worth a read!

  2. I cannot purchasing a seat for your child on the plane and keeping them in their carseat, if at all possible! It was life changing for us on our last flight from MA to FL! I took Safe in the Seat’s Travel Course and highly recommend it. Good luck!

  3. I’ve been using multiple Skin Better products for a couple of years and love the results from just a few products. Worth every $.
