Let’s Go For a Ride!

We have been living for our late afternoon bike rides lately. Our neighborhood has plenty of wide open trails, and just when you are starting to get a little stir crazy, heading out for a leisurely ride has been a nice respite. Truthfully, there’s not a whole lot fresh air and sunshine can’t fix!

These past few weeks we’ve been on our bikes A LOT more than normal, something that I definitely want to fix going forward! I think bike rides are going to become mandatory in our house from now on. 😉 But since we’ve been riding so much more, my inbox has been filled with questions about our bikes…. so I thought I would share for those of you who are interested!

We’ve had our bikes for the past 3 years and honestly they’ve been SUCH great bikes. They are from Pure Cycles, which I highly recommend, but they aren’t currently shipping right now. I did, however, find very similar ones at some really great prices from a few different places if you are looking for a bike to ride out the time on!

Here’s a great one from that’s under $100, and this one that has all the bells and whistles, and this color combo is so pretty!

We’ve also loaded up our bikes with accessories…. I found this bike basket a few years ago and it has been so good to me! I load it up with sunscreen, snacks, etc. Plus, it’s a great spot for our phones too! We also have cup holders ($14), because is it really a sunset ride without a fancy beverage?! And for Christmas one year Ryan got me a little gold bike bell ($16!), and I LOVE IT. Although, I’m not sure he still thinks it’s a good idea since I ring the dang thing ALL. THE. TIME.

Bicycle Accessories

Long walks and bike rides have definitely been our go-to lately and I’m so grateful we already had these in our garage! But I’ve got to tell you, I think rollerblades might just be our next purchase, ha! We can’t stop talking about them… and guys, I used to rollerblade every day in high school and in college. It’s so good for the booty! 😉 Somewhere along the way I must have donated them because I can’t for the life of me find them. But doesn’t rollerblading just sound like fun?!

What are y’all doing lately for fresh air?

  1. Hi Ashley!

What brand/model is your bike? I tried to find it in the post but I can’t seem to find it. Thanks!

  3. I’ve been wanting to try rollerblades again! I haven’t bladed since I was a kid–my sister thinks I’m too accident prone to try again and would break a wrist! But the rebel part of me (which is like a zero but still!) wants to give it a go!

  4. Thank you! This is really helpful. I hurt my ankle and miss my outdoor activity. Getting bikes for the family is a great way to recover!
