What I Use For Outdoor Entertaining

Al fresco is my favorite place to be…

Our backyard is one of my favorite places to be (with this guy!) and I love any excuse to be outside, especially when it involves a pretty table top and outdoor entertaining. Linens, glassware, and dishes are among some of my favorite things and I am always adding to my collection. I don’t collect many things, but I do collect tableware!

So when I saw the latest collaboration between Juliska and Veronica Beard I got so excited because these two brands are among my favorites. I’ve been a longtime fan of Juliska (remember this spring table from 2017?!), so this was extra exciting for me! We use our Juliska pieces daily around here, the quality is impeccable and they are just beautiful.

This particular collection has been one of my favorites in recent years, the pops of blue and green just feel fresh but also classic. I know we’ll be using these plates for years to come!

And in case you are wondering, I do also use melamine and acrylic (love these!) for outdoor entertaining. But some days I just want the full experience, so I use real china (and even sometime a full tablecloth!). Melamine has such great options to elevate outdoor dining (like here and here) that I definitely reach for when I want the assurance of non-breakable.

Also! Because I’m always asked, yes I do love our outdoor umbrella so much! Definitely worth it, in my opinion. We’ve had it for years and it’s held up beautifully (see full view of our outdoor dining space here).
