Sage Green Slip Dress

Tone on Tone

When I saw this dress about a month ago, I *added to cart* as fast as my little fingers could click. A green slip dress?!?! What is not to love?! It’s just one of those pieces that just feels special and that you can totally fancy up with heels or grab brunch in with a great pair of sandals like these!

It’s such a great basic that I’ll be able to layer thoughout the upcoming seasons with a chambray shirt, cardigan, sweater. Or like I did here with a lightweight linen long-sleeve shirt thrown over my shoulders.

Truly, the options are endless with this dress. And, you know I can’t say no to green. It’s become my weakness.

How to Style a Slip Dress for Fall

I wore this dress last week on a little impromptu date night. And I felt both put together and really comfortable. It’s almost like wearing a pair of pajamas to be honest… which I do not hate. Also, it was the best combination for a September Florida night out! The dress was cool enough to be outside. And the sweater really helped when we went inside the restaurant and the A/C was BLASTING. During our hottest months, finding the perfect outfit can be quite the task. It may be 99 degrees outside, but you better have a sweater in your bag… because we’ll freeze you out once you walk inside! 😉

Anyway, all of that to say, this dress just became a core piece in my fall wardrobe, and I’m just so excited about it!

Slip Dress Outfit Ideas

P.S. In my opinion, undergarments are just as important as the outfit itself, and for silky strappy pieces like this, I’m never not wearing this slip and strapless bra. And if you are looking for a bit more support, these are great!

  1. My sister and I were painting pottery this weekend and she was painting a pastel gingerbread house (soooo cute!) Anyways, she asked me what color to do the front door and I said, “Ashley Brooke green!” And so she did!

    You’re basically a crayola color now 😉
