Hello, September!

Good morning and happy Tuesday to you! I woke up yesterday and all the sudden everything just felt like FALL. The weather here in Florida still has quite a bit of catching up to do, but we did have a bit of a lift in humidity so it was almost like you could feel the seasons shifting. It also could be that I baked my first batch of pumpkin muffins yesterday (this is my go-to recipe), and while they were in the oven Ryan and I tackled a giant pile of laundry from our trip while we caught up on our new favorite show, Quarterback on Netflix.

So between the dip in humidity, the freshly baked pumpkin muffins, and football… we jumped two feet first into the season.

Also, in my head, our trip to Maine was going to bookend summer and now that we are back, I feel ready for the next season. But oh my gosh I can’t *wait* to tell you all about our trip to Maine. Truly, it was heavenly! See a few snaps from the trip here and here.

I’m working on a blog post sharing all the things, but I’m sure you’ll laugh, because we honestly didn’t do all that much. So it won’t be a full itinerary of activities, but I do want to share a few fun things we did. With a little one in tow, we kept our days super simple, which served us really well. Lots of time just playing in the grass and giggling at the seagulls, which was exactly what we hoped for.

So now that we’ve caught up, let’s get into a few fun fall finds, shall we?

Suede Mini

I love this style of mini skirt and I also really love that it’s a fall piece we can wear now, even when it’s not quite *crisp* out yet! Let’s call it a “faux fall outfit” and I’m here for it.

Muffin Liners

This is going to sound silly, but these are hands down my favorite muffin liners. They are parchment paper, aesthetically pleasing, and never stick. I just stocked up! As you know, weekly fresh muffins is a must around here.

Fall Vase

Brooke & Lou’s fall arrivals are so beautiful, but I keep coming back to this vase! I may have to scoop it up to replace my blue one for the fall. I mean honestly, how pretty is it?!

Gold Flats

I just got in these little gold ballet flats and they are honestly adorable. True to size and extremely comfortable! So cute with my favorite pair of denim.

Fall Children’s Books

I’m already looking forward to swapping out Laurens’ bookshelves in his nursery with all the fall cozy picture books! It’s one of my favorite things to do through with the change of seasons (see here and here) and right now this book is on the top of my to-order list!
